Bageshwar Dham and its Mahant Dhirendra Krishna Shastri are under fierce attack by a Leftist group claiming to be “Rationalists” and their allies among the Conversion Mafia in India. The Andhashraddha Nirmoolan Samiti has alleged that the Maharaj of the Bageshwar Dham has promoted superstition and has demanded police action against them.

27 years old Dhirendra Shastri comes from a lineage of priests and Hanuman devotees. He is currently the head priest of Bageshwar Dham, a Hanuman temple in Gada village of Chhattarpur district in Madhya Pradesh.

Recently, there was a life threatening attack on Shastri when his vehicle coming from Chhatarpur to Jatara was attacked with sticks by five people in Sanjay Nagar village near Palera. Despite the odds, he has emerged as one of the strongest voices against conversions and womb jihad. Because of his widely broadcast attempts at bringing converts to Islam and christianity back in to the Hindu fold, he has become a target of virulent hate campaigns and attack by the Conversion Mafia in India.

According to Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, those who are out to decimate Hindu dharma are the ones targeting him since he has a large mass following that is taking his agenda of protecting Hindu samaj from malcious attacks. He says, “These are the same people who demanded proof of Lord Ram’s and Ayodhya’s existence. Sanatani sadhus are targeted continuously. These people have not even spared Lord Ram, we are mere commoners. They are spending crores on conversion and we are bringing the converts back to Hinduism.”
